The MT-70R, MT-80M, K-90M and K-102S above all feature
the MIZAR K-Mount - ¥11.500 (US$95.83)
(when purchased separately)
The Mizar K-Mount is an altitude/azimuth mount of simple construction. Such a mount features two simple motions; altitude (up and down 170º) and azimuth (side to side 360º). It is easy to handle - even for the very young.
You can set-up and start viewing in a snap. And because it's so light-weight, you can carry your telescope, mount and tripod just about anywhere. This type of mount is great for observing comets, the moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and various stars.
Our K-Mount is not, however, the best choice for prolonged observation with a high-powered eyepiece or for astro-photography. For this usage our VH-8800 Motor Mount (above) is good and our SP Equatorial Mount Series
telescopes (see Intermediate page) are even better.
